Where Do We Land?
Most Mornings We’ll Be Landing Here 6:45am and 8:00am flights
It’s right outside town in the North Star Preserve. Just follow Highway 82 out of town heading towards Independence Pass. Just about 2 miles outside of town you’ll see our wind sock and a gravel shoulder on the right side of the road. Park there.
Look for our wind sock in the field and see us launching and flying from the top of the mountain across the river. If you join us in the field to watch our landings, please try to stay out of harm’s way at the edge of the field and out of the way of landing aircraft.
This is an environmentally sensitive area open to human foot traffic only. Please be respectful of local wildlife and our land access concerns by leaving your pets in your car.
Mid-Mornings We’re Likely Landing Here 10:00 am flights
Just outside town on Aspen’s West side is the Marolt Property, a wide open meadow just right for landing hang gliders and paragliders. Follow Highway 82 out of town towards the airport. When you get to the roundabout, take the third exit onto Castle Creek Road. You’ll see our wind socks in the field and plenty of off-street parking on gravel shoulders.
Feel free to join us in the field to watch your friends and family landing with us, but be careful to stay out of the way of landing hang gliders and paragliders.
There’s a pair of comfortable log benches to sit on while we come in to land. Family and dogs are welcome here, but be sure to keep them safe by keeping them to the edge of the field.
